This is so very powerful. I agree - God gives us the way, our answers, our truth - we often forget to look. Thank you for such profound reminders!

I would have to say that my inner quest is usually alined with my daily life. This has to be a daily choice for me that begins and ends with prayer. I start by thanking God for giving me another day to learn from him and serve him. I ask him to give me opportunities to connect with him, see him, and the courage to do his will. At the end of the day, I ask him to forgive me for the areas where to took a shortcut from his path, or didn't slow down to help someone who is also on the same path. Christ knew that walking by faith and not by sight would be a stuggle. This is why he told us to seek his kingdom first. (Mat 6:33) If that is your pathway-your true north, the things of the earth become a blur. This seems so easy when you write it out. Just like diet and excercise seem so easy when you say it. But, to actually do it is not so easy. The Israelites had a pillar of fire and dust storm to guide them to the promised land and yet they still got lost in the journey. If they got bit by a venomous snake, all they had to do was look at a bronze snake on a pole that God gave to them and they would live. I wonder how many forgot to look. (Numbers 21.8) So God gave them ten simple rules for living. Yet, they did not hide them in thier heart not did they meditate on them. God sent Christ to show us how he wanted us to live, and Jesus gave us 1 simple guideline to help us navigate ,"Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your mind and all your soul, and love your neighbor as yourself." (Mat 22:38) This is still the pathway to the Kindgom of heaven. We do not have a burning bush or a pillar of fire. We have something better-the holy spirit-Christ himself living within us. He is our beacon. He is our GPS. He also gave us great reading material along the way! Much Love, Misty

I, too, didn't understand Grace, God or Jesus until in my mid-thirties and I believe that the greatest gifts I've received are my children. They do keep me centered and focused and trying to walk with faith.

Thank you for sharing your very valuable perspective!

I believe my inner journey and outer journey are now perfectly aligned. I wouldn't say that I am reaching for god but I am very spiritual. I believe that my inner happiness carry's me through everyday and I wake up always open to every experience and living and being in the moment. I am grateful for a wonderful life.

I thinks it's more a matter of awareness rather than one of getting back to a certain place in our relationship with God. I sometimes seem to be so unaware of who I am in Christ. For this reason I am gripped by fear and tossed around by circumstances. I also forget Kingdom principles that are in direct opposition to the world's. So many believe we must go "within" for enlightenment, joy, peace, and strength. God says seek Him first and then all these things will be added.

When I am possessed by the truth in God's word that says I am His child, and He has given me everything I need to live this life, I live, act, and think differently. "I" don't matter so much, my comfort, my rights, my focus on "me "is now centered on His ways, which are so far above mine. God's truth says we are strangers and pilgrims, I forget that and think that "this" is "it". When I live with the truth that God has prepared a place for me, that I am a vessel sanctified and set apart for His use, and that in Christ I am a new creation-watch out!

My experience was never centered on God. A few years of Sunday school in the elementary years, then my parents divorced and life changed. While I felt I did believe in God, I never felt I knew Jesus. I didn't come to know him until I was 35 yrs old!
They say that is a rarity, I say Praise God for better late than never!! For the last 15 yrs. I have been working on the alignment you speak of, with some success. It has to be a daily focus, in that my perspective has to be God's perspective. When I find times where it is, it is awesome. I know full well what life was like with out God in it and I desire to never be back in that place. A life that was definately me-centered in every way. I strive to teach my children the right way, God's way, in a way that is real to them. I think it is my greatest challenge and will be my greatest accomplishment!
My children actually help me stay God centered, though I can do better.
Thanks for letting me share, and keep fighting the good fight!!
